FAQs

Who should go on a Canopy Tour?

A Canopy Tour is the ideal outdoor getaway for nature lovers, families, student groups and corporate teambuilding events.

How safe is it?

Many people are nervous about the prospect of their first Canopy Tour® and some are just plain scared of heights. For those who don't think they can do it on their own, we offer a tandem tour which allows you to take in the whole experience while safely attached to a guide who controls your speed and ensures your safety.

Is it scary?

The Malolotja Canopy Tour® has been designed and built by a qualified civil engineer. All groups are escorted by a lead guide and safety guide at all times to ensure your safety.

How many people can you take?

Our normal group size is 1-8 people but we can cater for large groups of up to 150 people on request.

What do we need to wear or bring?

You should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear. Slip-slops are not suitable as they will simply fall off. Shorts or long pants are fine but mini-skirts are not. An application of sun block and insect repellent before you go is a good idea. Don't forget to bring your camera as there are many excellent photo opportunities along the way.

What does it cost?

The cost is R650 per person and includes all equipment, guides, transport, refreshments and a light lunch afterwards.

When is it open?

Opening hours are 07:00 - 16:00 In summer and from 08:00 - 15:00 in winter. Tours depart every 45 minutes and are conducted in most weather conditions. Book in advance to secure your place.
